Five business owners at Świdnicka Street decided to change the decoration of their store fronts. The goal is to better display their goods and services. The change is the result of meetings and workshops conducted from September 2013 by the Economic Development Office of the Wroclaw Municipal Office.
"Four business owners from Świdnicka Street and the Podwale Department Store decided to change their store fronts. We have heard that the changes have resulted in an increase in the number of customers and in better sales", said Małgorzata Golak from the Economic Development Office of the Wroclaw Municipal Office.
The business owners can count on advice in the arrangement of the store fronts and on free designs prepared by Wroclaw's artists.
The changes have had a positive impact on the sales
Indeed, the first effects have already been noticed, as confirmed by the business owners. In November, the owner of the Bola Dose ice cream shop at Świdnicka Street also decided to change the shop's store front.
"I was unhappy with the previous looks. The windows with our products were covered up and people could not see the renovated interior and were reluctant to walk in", said Magdalena Gaszewska-Teixeira, the shop's owner.
"Now it's light inside and they can see everything. Customers stop and look inside. Since the change was made, our turnover increased by 10 percent, but we have the highest sales volumes in the summer and we expect that it will even get better", added Magdalena.
Magdalena Gaszewska-Teixeira has also decided to change the store front in her other shop at Oławska Street.
The beginning of important changes
The owner of the optician's shop in the arcade at Świdnicka Street decided to change the appearance of the store front only recently. The work was completed only on 19 March. Earlier the windows were covered up and there was little light.
"Our store front changed significantly. We put new white coffers. Also, there is more light, which leads to a better exposure of our products", said Agnieszka Góralska, the owner of the optician's shop at Świdnicka Street in Wroclaw.
This is not the end because the owner wants to arrange a place in the shop with toys for children, as well as a computer that will enable them to have some fun while choosing their glasses.
"What will the changes lead to? For now, after a few days, it is hard to tell. We will be able to draw some conclusions in about a month", said Agnieszka Góralska.
